Hook Buying Group is based in north-east Hampshire supplying organic, local and eco friendly products to Hook, Alton and the surrounding villages and towns.
It is a small, active family ventire dedicated to providing ethical choices to members of a buying group via its website.
John and Mary-Anne Barber, began their adventure into retailing in the autumn of 2005 when they set up Lantern Foods in Alton. Following retirement from this enterprise, they have set up a local buying group for the benefit of former customers and others who wish to find more specialised goods than those available elsewhere.
We endeavour to bring members a range of quality organic, fair trade and ethical products at a fair price. Our overriding principle is that we are here to give our members what they want, and to this end, all goods are supplied to order. Our philosophy is simple! We pride ourselves in being part of the local community and aim to help people to avoid harmful chemicals and make informed choices about their purchases. In turn, our members are able to take control of their lives, both with respect to health and well-being and to quality of life.
